Position Announcements:

Program/Project Consultant – Risk Management Center

This position involves working closely with the Center Director and University Administration to manage all aspects of the Center with internal and external patrons. The position ensures the Center is meticulously organized, accessible, professional, responsive, accountable, and makes a positive impression in all endeavors.

This position will:

  • Develop Center goals and accompanying measurable outcomes in risk management
  • Direct new student fellow recruiting to the Center of both undergraduate and graduate students across campus and guide assessment of applications for admission
  • Manage prospective and active student fellow communications and event scheduling
  • Co-advise the student organization, the Interdisciplinary Risk Management Association.
  • Serve as liaison with the Center and external industry partners including developing partnership reports; facilitating student internship and career recruiting; and coordinating annual advisory council meetings
  • Manage Center travel activities for student fellow trips and Center development events
  • Develop and maintain Center web page (https://www.k-state.edu/riskmanagement/); orgsync or similar for event announcement and scheduling; and social and business media communications
  • Compile semiannual Center information for newsletters; and collaborate the Director on social media posts
  • Maintain student fellow and alumni fellow records including internships, jobs, salary data, and contact information
  • Maintain industry e-mail distribution files
  • Manage scheduling of Center guest speakers and other Center activities
  • Administer scheduling, registration, and catering for Center workshops, executive education, and conferences
  • Manage student fellowship payments and expense reimbursements for Center events and activities
  • Reconcile Center financial accounts

Recruitment Coordinator for Master of Agribusiness Program

Manage events and activities related to the Master of Agribusiness Program (MAB) and its constituents. The person in this position will provide recruiting and marketing assistance for the MAB program, which is an online/ hybrid Masters program.

The person joining our team in this full-time role will serve as a program associate for the MAB program. The associate will work closely with the MAB staff team in assisting with the administration of the degree program. This individual will co-manage events and activities related to the MAB program and its constituents. They will be responsible for planning and organizing several projects and recruitment events. Other various events may include; current students, alumni, and employers. On-campus sessions are conducted during the first week of January and spring break in Manhattan, KS; and one week in August and October in Olathe, KS. Work responsibilities may involve some international trips and frequent domestic travel.
