Research Interests and Experience:
Gabe teaches and researches in the field of environmental and natural resource economics. Most of his current research focuses on the use and management of groundwater in Kansas. Some of the methods he uses in his research are nonlinear programming, hedonic modelling, game theory, and discrete choice models. He has collaborated with researchers outside economics, such as ecology, animal science, and engineering to communicate findings to broad audiences. His recent research has appeared in academic journals such as American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Resource and Energy Economics, and Science.
